This study examines consumer attitudes toward products containing micr plastics and evaluates the impact of these attitudes on social responsibility, purchase intentions, and sustainable consumption intentions. The research employed the structural equation modeling method, with data collected through surveys of 93 individuals residing in Austria. Participants were selected using a convenience sampling technique, and PLS-based structural equation modeling was utilized for data analysis. The findings indicate that environmental awareness and food safety concerns significantly influence negative attitudes toward products containing microplastics. These attitudes, in turn, positively impact social responsibility and sustainable consumption intentions. Moreover, purchase intentions are also affected by these negative attitudes. The results highlight the importance of raising awareness about plastic pollution and the harmful effects of microplastics, emphasizing their role in fostering sustainable and environmentally friendly consumption habits.
