THE MODERATING ROLE OF JOB STRESS ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PERCEIVED ORGANZIATIONAL POLITICS AND WORK ALIENATION OF EMPLOYEE IN HOTEL BUSINESS: CASE OF NEVSEHIR

Öz

The aim of this study
is to investigate the relationship/interaction between perceived organizational
policy and employee alienation, and the moderating role of the employee job
stress in this relationship. The sample of the study consists of 441 employees
working in 4-5 star hotels in Nevşehir. Data collected for the study were
tested by regression analysis using appropriate statistical package programs.
The results of the study showed that there was a significant and positive
relationship between perceived organizational policy and employee alienation
level. In addition, it was determined that job stress plays a moderator role in
this relationship. In fact, In low stress levels, organizational policy has no
meaningful effect on work alienation, but it is found to be significant effect
in moderate and high stress levels.

OTEL İŞLETMELERİNDE ÇALIŞANLARIN ÖRGÜTSEL POLİTİKA ALGILARI İLE İŞE YABANCILAŞMALARI ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİDE İŞ STRESİNİN DÜZENLEYİCİ ROLÜ: NEVŞEHİR İLİ ÖRNEĞİ

Öz

Bu çalışmada,
algılanan örgütsel politika ve çalışanın işe yabancılaşması arasındaki ilişki/etkileşim
ile bu ilişkide iş stresinin düzenleyici rolünün araştırılması amaçlanmıştır.
Çalışmanın örneklemi, Nevşehir ilindeki dört ve beş yıldızlı otellerdeki
çalışan 441 kişiden oluşmaktadır. Çalışma için toplanan veriler uygun
istatistiksel paket programlar kullanılarak regresyon analizi yoluyla test
edilmiştir. Çalışmanın bulguları, çalışanların örgütsel politika algıları ile işe
yabancılaşma düzeyleri arasında anlamlı ve pozitif bir ilişki ve etkileşim
bulunduğunu göstermiştir. Ayrıca bu ilişkide iş stresinin düzenleyici rol oynadığı
tespit edilmiştir. Öyle ki düşük stres düzeylerinde örgütsel politikanın işe
yabancılaşmayı etkileme düzeyi anlamsız iken, orta ve yüksek stres düzeylerinde
anlamlı olduğu görülmüştür.
