The aim of this study is to examine the relationships between crab syndrome, happiness at work and work engagement variables in nurses. The population of the study consists of nurses working in a public hospital in Karaman province. The sample was not selected and a questionnaire was applied to 248 nurses who agreed to participate in the study. In the study, a negative and low level relationship was found between crab syndrome and work engagement and crab syndrome and happiness at work; and a positive and low level relationship was found between work engagement and happiness at work. According to the regression analysis results, it was determined that crab syndrome explained 7.4% of the total variance on happiness at work and 4.4% of the total variance on work engagement. In addition, it was determined that happiness at work explained 9% of the total variance on work engagement. As a result of the study, it was determined that as nurses’ perceptions of crab syndrome increased, their perceptions of happiness at work and work engagement decreased. In addition, it was revealed that happiness at work increased work engagement.
