II. HUGUES DE LUSİGNAN DÖNEMİNDE KIBRIS VE KUDÜS NAİPLİĞİ MESELESİ

Öz

Kıbrıs Krallığı’nın beşinci kralı olan II. Hugues de Lusignan 1253 yılında tahta geçtiğinde henüz bir bebekti.Bu nedenle annesi Plaisance d’Antioche onun naibi olmuştur. Kraliçe Plaisance d’Antioche hem Kıbrıs hem de Kudüs Krallıklarının naipliği görevini yürütmüş, Kraliçe’nin ölümünden sonra ise Lusignanlar arasında naibin kim olacağı sorunu baş göstermiştir. Çalışmada naipliğe kimin geldiği konusu detaylı incelenmiştir. Naiplik için Kral II. Hugues de Lusignan’ın kuzenleri Hugues d’Antioche ile Hugues de Briennearasında geçen mücadele Hugues d’Antioche lehine sonuçlanmıştır. 1267 yılında Kral II. Hugues de Lusignan ölmüş geride varis bırakmamıştır. Onun yerine geçen kişi ise naibi Hugues d’Antioche olmuş, böylece Kıbrıs Krallığı I. Hugues de Lusignan’ın kızı Isabella de Lusignan’ın oğlu olan Hugues d’Antioche- Lusignan’dan devam etmiştir. Daha sonra da Melisende de Lusignan’ın kızı Marie taht için hak iddiasında bulunmuş ama sonuç alamamıştır. Papa X. Gregorius’a başvuran Marie, haklarını Charles d’Anjou’ya satmıştır.

THE PROBLEM OF THE REGENCY OF CYPRUS AND JERUSALEM DURING THE REIGN OF HUGH II OF LUSIGNAN

Öz

Hugh IIof Lusignan, the fifth king of the Kingdom of Cyprus, was still a baby when he ascended the throne in 1253. Therefore, his mother, Plaisance of Antioch, became his regent. Queen Plaisance of Antioch served as the regent of both the Cyprus and Jerusalem Kingdoms, and after the death of the Queen, the question of who would be the regent among the Lusignansarose. In the study, the issue of who came to the regency is examined in detail. The struggle between Hugh of Antioch and Hugh of Brienne, cousins of King Hugh II of Lusignan for the regency, ended in favor of Hugh of Antioch. In 1267, King Hugh II of Lusignan died and left no heirs. The person who succeeded him was the regent Hugh of Antioch, so the Kingdom of Cyprus continued from Hugh of Antioch-Lusignan, the son of Isabella of Lusignan who was daughter of Hugh I of Lusignan. Then, Melisende of Lusignan's daughter Marie made a claim for the throne, but no avail. Marie applied to Pope Gregorius X, sold her rights to Charles of Anjou.
