This study analyzes the vision and mission statements of Turkish language teaching centers affiliated with universities in Türkiye thematically and the word frequency analysis was conducted. Document analysis, a qualitative research design, was used to determine the semantic scope of the vision and mission statements. The data were collected from the websites of 107 Turkish Language Learning, Research and Application Centers Research Centers affiliated with universities. The data were analyzed thematically using the content analysis method, and word frequencies were identified. MaxQDA and Voyant Tools software tools were used for the analysis process. The findings of the study show that Turkish language teaching centers of universities cover a wide system ranging from language teaching, language and culture services, education and training services, student-centeredness, research and development, quality standards, social responsibility, international relations and leadership. When examined within the framework of 9 themes are examined, expressions such as teaching Turkish, promoting Türkiye, providing education at international standards, and being a reputable and leading institution stand out. The word frequency analysis also revealed the intensive use of “Turkish” and “language” terms. It was observed that the vision and mission statements of the centers were in parallel with the general vision and mission statements of the universities. It is understood that there are many similarities in vision and mission statements and that the centers are significantly influenced by each other. The findings also indicate that vision and mission statements are used interchangeably and no clear distinction is made between them. By evaluating the findings, various conclusions were drawn regarding the place of vision and mission in Turkish language teaching, and several recommendations were provided.
