Developing technology and contemporary management approaches bring changes in organizational structures. Although these changes are of great importance in the field of management and organization, the basis of organizations is the human element. For this reason, it is seen that empirical research mostly depends on understanding human behavior. Accordingly, the relationship between organizational silence and informal communication constitutes the theoretical framework of the research. Therefore, the purpose of the research is to determine whether there is a relationship between organizational silence and informal communication, whether organizational silence has an impact on informal communication, whether organizational silence and informal communication level differ according to socio-demographic characteristics. The questionnaire form is used as a data collection tool in the research. Descriptive statistical methods, Mann Whitney U test, Kruskal Wallis test, correlation analysis and regression analysis are used in the analysis of the data. According to the findings of the study; it is observed that there is a positive and significant relationship between organizational silence and informal communication levels, and organizational silence has a positive and significant effect on informal communication. Although the relationship and effect size are low, it is expected that the level of informal communication will increase when the organizational silence levels of the participants increase. For this reason, it is important for healthcare institutions to nurture informal communication positively by creating working environments where effective communication can be achieved by determining the factors that cause employees to act in organizational silence.
