Öz

Teknoloji pazarlarının doğası gereği, değişim her geçen gün hızlanmakta ve bu durum günlük yaşama dâhil olan teknoloji uygulamalarının çeşitliliğini de arttırmaktadır. Uygulama geliştiricilerin sektörde varlığını sürdürülebilmesi, sunulan yeniliklerin benimsenmesine bağlıdır. Teknolojik yeniliklerin en önemli hedef kitlesi ve kaldıracı durumundaki gençler ise bu süreçte büyük önem taşımaktadır.
Bu çalışma yeni teknolojinin benimsenmesini, günümüz toplumlarının yaşam ve iletişim alışkanlıklarının değişiminde büyük paya sahip olan mobil uygulamalar çerçevesinde değerlendirmektedir. Araştırmanın teorik ve uygulamaya yönelik olmak üzere iki temel amacı bulunmaktadır. Teorik bağlamda, yenilik yayılım ve benimseme çalışmalarına ilişkin literatürün teknoloji perspektifinin dışına çıkılarak geniş kapsamda incelenmesi ve yayılım paradigmasının oluşum ve gelişim sürecinin ilişkisel bir örüntüde açıklanması hedeflenmektedir. Uygulama alanında ise, akıllı telefonların ve dolayısıyla mobil uygulamaların kullanım trendine yön veren üniversite öğrencilerinin mobil uygulamaları kabulüne etki eden faktörlerin belirlenmesi amaçlanmaktadır.
Araştırma neticesinde, mobil uygulamaların kabulüne yönelik davranışsal niyeti %47,4 oranında açıklayan bir mobil uygulama kabul modeli önerilmiştir. Demografik faktörlerin etkisi incelendiğinde, teknolojinin erkek egemen bir alan olduğu klişesinin, özellikle gençler açısından, geçersiz olmaya başladığı dikkat çekmektedir.
