The Mediating Role of Creative Performance in the Effect of Service Orientation on Innovative Behavior

Öz

The aim of this study is to determine the mediating role of creative performance in the effect of service orientation on innovative behavior. For this purpose, data were collected from 424 academics at Yozgat Bozok University and Kırşehir Ahi Evran University through convenience sampling using a survey method. The data obtained were analyzed using the Smart-PLS (PLS-SEM) statistical software, employing the partial least squares structural equation modeling technique. The findings of the study indicate that service orientation has a positive effect on creative performance, and creative performance, in turn, positively influences innovative behavior. The most significant finding of the research is that creative performance plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between service orientation and innovative behavior. Through these findings, the study aims to contribute to the existing body of knowledge in the literature.

Hizmet Verme Yatkınlığının İnovatif Davranış Üzerindeki Etkisinde Yaratıcı Performansın Aracılık Rolü

Öz

Bu araştırmanın amacı, hizmet verme yatkınlığının inovatif davranış üzerindeki etkisinde yaratıcı performansın aracılık rolünün belirlenmesidir. Bu amaçla Yozgat Bozok Üniversitesi ve Kırşehir Ahi Evran Üniversitesi’ndeki akademisyenlerden 424 kişiye kolayda örnekleme yoluyla ulaşılmış ve anket tekniği kullanılarak veriler toplanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizi Smart-PLS (PLS-SEM) istatistik programında analiz edilmiş olup kısmi en küçük kareler yapısal eşitlik modellemesi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre hizmet verme yatkınlığının yaratıcı performans üzerinde; yaratıcı performansın ise inovatif davranış üzerinde pozitif yönlü etkisinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmanın en önemli bulgusu ise hizmet verme yatkınlığının inovatif davranış üzerindeki etkisinde yaratıcı performansın kısmi aracılık rolünün olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırma, elde edilen bulgular sayesinde literatürdeki bilgi birikimine katkı sağlamayı hedeflemektedir.
