Öz

Waldorf yöntemi 1919 yılında Avusturyalı düşünür Rudolf Steiner tarafından kurulmuştur. Rudolf Steiner Birinci Dünya Savaşı gibi bir felaketin yeniden yaşanmamasının ancak yeni bir insanın yaratılması ile mümkün olacağını düşünüyordu. Bu yeni insan yeni bir eğitimle yaratılabilirdir. Yeni eğitimin amacı kendi hayatlarını kendi başlarına şekillendirebilen özgür yurttaşlar yaratmak olmalıydı. Wadorf yöntemi irade, akıl ve duyguları geliştirerek bu yeni yurttaşı yaratmayı hedeflemiştir. Bu çalışmada Rudolf Steiner’in insan gelişimi ve eğitimi ile ilgili düşünceleri incelenmiştir. Buna bağlı olarak Waldorf okulunun müfredatı, fiziksel yapısı, öğretim etkinlikleri, öğretmenleri rolleri ortaya konmuştur. Ayrıca Waldorf okulu ile ilgili yapılmış araştırma sonuçlarıyla sistemin öğrencilerine neler kazandırdığı gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır. Son olarak Waldorf yöteminin eğitim sistemize yapabileceği katkılara dair öneriler vurgulanmıştır
