Full professor at the Faculty of Technical Sciences at the University of Novi Sad, retired from 2015. United Nations expert, consultant and scientist, She has more than 300 references (of which significant number is in reference world scientific journals) in environment, waste management and climate change, chemical engineering thermodynamics and materials science, as well as consulting references in various countries. On invitation, she teaches at various universities in the country and the world. Acknowledged by UNEP in 2006 as the women environmental leader of Western Balkan. She was the Minister for the Protection of Natural Resources and Environment from (2002–2004), the member of National Committee for UNESCO (2008-2015) and the member of the Advisory Board for Environmental and Social Issues of the EBRD (2005-2010) in London. She is honorable president of Environmental Ambassadors for Sustainable Development. She has been a member in Negotiating Team for Negotiating the Accession of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union, in charge of the environment (including waste) and climate change (2015-2021).

Honorable president of SeSWA (Serbian Solid Waste Management Association); International Scientific Board Member – Sardinia Waste Management Conference: 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023; Scientific Committee Member - EurAsia Waste Management Symposium 2014, 2016, 2018,2020,2022 ; Editorial Board Member, Environmental Research and Technology, Scientific Journal, from 2017; Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS) expert, from 2014; The Air Pollution Scientific Initiative (APSI) Advisory Board Member, since 2020. Director on Environmental Listening (2018/19); Co-Chair of Environmental Listening Division (2019/22); Member (from 2018) at Global Listening Centre, Albuquerque/London/Mumbai. Acknowledged as European Climate Pact Ambassador (from April 2021 to March 2023). The UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network Black Sea - Leadership Council Member from Nov 2021.
