Bio

Berkcan Boz is currently research assistant at Ege University Faculty of Sport Sciences. He graduated as valedictorian at Bachelor level, in 2017 with the highest GPA (3.91 of 4.0). He experienced Erasmus+ student Exchange programme abroad for twice in Latvia and Hungary during his bachelor. He achieved MSc degree in June, 2020 with his thesis on identity development and school alienation of student athletes and their non-athlete peers suggesting early identity grown in student-athletes. He is currently doctorate student in the field of Psycho-Social Aspect of Physical Education and Sport and conducting researches and funded several projects in the field of Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy. His research interests are in three topics as follows: Student Athletes; Philosophy and Sociology of Science (suggesting Black Hole Effect in nowadays’ scientific systems) and Integrated PE/PA. Recently, He was awarded for Honorary Developing Country Scholar Award by the committee at AIESEP 2021 Virtual Scientific Conference in Alberta, Banff, Canada.
