Bio

Erdinç Yalınkılıç is a musicologist and singer, currently based in Ankara. His research advances in the fields of music history and historical music theory.

In his previous works, he discussed the makam harmony approaches of Kemal İlerici, who had developed a harmonic-functional system for Turkish makam music. His current research focuses on antiquity and especially medieval Byzantine music.

In addition to performing ancient and medieval music, his repertoire as a lied singer focuses on Franz Schubert's albums "Die Schöne Müllerin" and "Winterreise".
