Professor Dr. Amir Reza Jassbi is a natural products chemist and head of department in Medicinal and Natural Products Chemistry Research Center, Shiraz University of Medical Science, Shiraz Iran, working on terrestrial plants and marine organisms. He got his PhD from HEJ research Institute for Chemistry and Biological sciences, Karachi University, Pakistan, in 1996 and JSPS, and Alexander von Humboldt post doctoral fellowships from Sapporo University, Japan and Max Planck Institute for chemical Ecology, Jena, Germany in 2000-2002 and 2004-2008, respectively.
