Mehmet Varol, born in Ankara, Turkey, received his first bachelor's degree in Biology from Anadolu University in 2010. He later went on to receive a second bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the same institution in 2015. In 2008, he participated in the Socrates/Erasmus Exchange Program and studied at the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Palermo in Italy. After completing his undergraduate studies, he returned to Anadolu University and obtained his Master of Science degree in 2013 and his Doctor of Philosophy degree in 2017. He has since been pursuing his academic studies at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Mugla Sitki Kocman University in Turkey. His research interests include animal cell culture, controlled drug delivery systems, molecular docking, drug design and discovery, natural drug sources, photodynamic therapy, in vitro photo-biological experiments, reactive oxygen species and related cellular mechanisms.
