Mustafa Kemal Bayazit received his MSc in Chemistry from Abant Izzet Baysal University, Turkey in 2005. He was then awarded a scholarship by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) in 2007 to pursue a PhD degree in nanoscience. After graduating in 2010 from University of Durham, UK, he joined the Department of Chemistry at Imperial College London, UK, as a postdoctoral research associate. He then moved to University College London, Department of Chemical Engineering in 2014 to research into high throughput nanoparticle fabrication combining microwave heating with microfluidic systems. He is currently working at Imperial College London. His research focuses mainly on the microwave promoted fluidic systems, the chemistry of nanomaterials, and development of applications for these materials in the area of energy and sensors. Other research interests include synthetic organic and applied polymer chemistry.
