Bio
Dr. Ahi, who holds a Ph.D. in Railway Systems (Transportation Eng.) and Construction Transportation Engineering, specializes in Railway Logistics. Having worked in railway operations in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, and France, since 2011, Dr. Ahi has served as the Turkey Regional Manager of German Railistics GmbH and is a founding partner of DeTIM Company.
As an accredited body within the scope of TSIs (Technical Specifications for Interoperability), Dr. Ahi manages certification projects in infrastructure, HST, freight wagons, and ECM, and is an expert in occupational safety, ISO 9001 quality system auditing, and has authored international articles and books on railways. Successfully leading as the Turkey Editor for the UK-based Railway Gazette Magazine, Dr. Ahi has contributed to TCDD and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure by providing training and legislative insights under the scope of "TCDD Restructuring" since 2011.
Furthermore, Dr. Ahi continues consultancy roles in projects for the World Bank, EBRD, EU, and prominent private sector firms. As the first and only railway external expert selected from Turkey by ERA and VPI, Dr. Ahi is actively engaged in various projects.
