Writing Rules

Researchers who will submit their studies to AJP must prepare their studies in accordance with internationally valid ethical principles. At this point, all scientific ethical and legal responsibilities of the studies submitted to the journal belong to the researchers, but the editorial board may request an ethics committee certificate when necessary. Studies that the editorial board does not find compatible with research and publication ethics are not evaluated.
• Author name and address: Since the studies are directed to the referees directly through the system (without making any changes to the file uploaded by the author), there should be no information on the study that identifies the author of the article in order to ensure author-referee confidentiality. For this reason, author name(s) should not be included both in the work and in the file name.
• Article Text: Studies should not exceed 8,000 words, should be prepared as a Word file, and 12 point Book Antiqua font should be used as the font, except for special cases of some study areas. If there is a special font used in the study, it must be sent along with the manuscript. The study should start with the Introduction section, and this section should focus on the hypothesis, scope and purpose of the article. The Development section, which can be divided into intermediate and subheadings, should be supported by data, observations, opinions, comments and discussions. In the conclusion section, the conclusions reached in the study should be explained, supported by suggestions. Except for compulsory cases, the current Spelling Guide of the Turkish Language Association should be taken as basis in the study.
• Page Setup: All margins of the Word page should be set to 2.5 cm. The text should be written with 3pt and 1.5 line spacing before and after the paragraph.
• Title: Studies should be titled in Turkish and English. Titles must consist of a maximum of 13 (thirteen) words and must be written in all capital letters. All headings in the text should be written in bold with the first letter capitalized.
• Headings within the Article: Main and sub-headings should be created in the article based on the number system according to the treatment of the subject.
• Essence and Abstract: There should be an abstract in Turkish and English, within the range of 180-200 words, that expresses the subject discussed in the study in the shortest and most concise manner. At least 4 (three) and at most 6 (five) keywords and their English translations should be included under both abstracts. The Abstract and Abstract sections should be written in 10 font size and single line spacing.
• Photographs, Maps and Tables: Care should be taken to ensure that the photographs, plans and tables used in the text do not go beyond the page structure. Such documents must have a resolution appropriate to the printing technique and, if more than one, must be numbered. Table, Photograph and Map numbers should be centered and bold above the relevant figure.
• Quotations and Footnotes: Short direct quotes from five lines: should be shown in quotation marks: "Quote". Quotations longer than five lines should be written in 10 point font, 1 cm from the right and left of the line. Footnotes should be written in 10 pt, 3 pt before and after the paragraph, single line spacing, and justified.
