The Akdeniz Medical Journal is the official scientific publication of the Faculty of Medicine at Akdeniz University. It is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary medical journal published in accordance with ethical principles and standards. Our journal is indexed in the TR Index, Index Copernicus, Turkish Medline, Academic Index Türkiye, and SOBIAD. Efforts are ongoing to increase the number of national and international indices in which the journal is included.

No fees are charged for manuscript submission and/or publication, and all published articles are open access. Submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process by at least two reviewers.

As of 2026, the Akdeniz Medical Journal has adopted a CONTINUOUS PUBLICATION MODEL. With transition to this model and the new operational arrangements, the targeted average time from manuscript submission to final decision and publication is approximately 3–4 months.
