Article Retraction

In accordance with the publication policies of Akif journal, the duties and responsibilities of the author(s) and the editorial board during the withdrawal of a study or article are given below:

Authors

In the event that the author(s) becomes aware of an inaccuracy or error in the published, early version, or manuscript under review, the author(s) has the obligation to cooperate with the journal editor in the retraction process. Author(s) who wish to withdraw their work under review are obliged to fill out the Article Withdrawal Form and send it to the Editorial Board via e-mail at akifdergisi@erbakan.edu.tr, signed and scanned with the wet signature of each author. The Editorial Board reviews the withdrawal notification and returns within 15 days at the latest. Authors cannot send their work to another journal for evaluation unless the editorial board approves the withdrawal request of the works whose copyrights have been transferred to AKIF Journal at the submission stage.

Editors

The editorial board of AKİF Journal is obliged to initiate an investigation into a published, in early view, or under review work in case of suspicion of copyright and plagiarism. If the editorial board determines that copyright and plagiarism have been committed in the work under evaluation as a result of the investigation, it withdraws the work from the evaluation and returns it to the authors by citing the detected situations in detail. If the editorial board determines that copyright infringement and plagiarism have been committed in a published or early view study, it shall carry out the following withdrawal and notification procedures within 15 days at the latest. The study found to be in violation of ethics;

1. The phrase "Withdrawn:" is added to the beginning of the title in the electronic version.
2. Instead of the Abstract and Full Text contents in the electronic display, the reasons for the withdrawal of the study, detailed evidence sources, if any, are published together with the notifications of the institutions and organizations to which the author(s) are affiliated.
3. The withdrawal notice is announced on the main page of the journal website.
4. "Withdrawn: Title of Study" in the table of contents of the electronic and printed copy of the first issue to be published from the date of retraction, and the reasons for retraction and the original citations cited therein are shared with the public and researchers, starting from the first page.
5. The organization(s) to which the author(s) is affiliated will be notified of the above withdrawal notices.

6. The above-mentioned withdrawal notices are forwarded to the institutions and organizations where the journal is indexed and the Presidency of the National Library to be recorded in the indexing systems and catalogs.

In addition, the editorial board may recommend to the publishing houses or editorial boards of the previously published works of the author(s) of the ethically violated study to ensure the validity and reliability of the published studies or to withdraw them.
