Copyright and Open Access

Author's Copyright
 Authors (or their employers) retain the copyright to their articles. The only requirement from authors is to accept publication under the CC BY-NC license. All articles published by Akif journal, regardless of the source of funding, are published as open access and can be reused in accordance with the terms of the CC BY-NC open access license.

Authors of Akif journal hold the copyright to their published works, which are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. The CC BY-NC 4.0 license allows the sharing, copying, reproduction, and adaptation of the work in any dimension and format, as long as it is done for non-commercial purposes and proper attribution is given to the original work.

When uploading their manuscript to the online system of our journal, the authors read the copyright agreement stated below and upload a wet-signed copy (Copyright Notice Text):
The author(s) agrees that:
• The manuscript submitted is his/her/their own original work and has not been plagiarized from any prior work,
• All authors participated in the work in a substantive way and are prepared to take public responsibility for the work,
• All authors have seen and approved the manuscript as submitted,
• The manuscript has not been published and is not being submitted or considered for publication elsewhere,
• The text, illustrations, and any other materials included in the manuscript do not infringe upon any existing copyright or other rights of anyone.
• The Publisher will publish the content under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.

• The Author(s) retain(s) all commercial rights in addition to copyright, and patent rights.

Akif journal uses a CC BY-NC license
Embedded licenses: Yes. The Akif embeds licensing information in its articles.
Copyright: Authors retain the copyright and full publishing rights without restrictions.

Open Access is that publications are freely available to anyone online with few restrictions on reuse. The unrestricted dissemination of research is especially important to authors, readers, and funders.

Akif journal's open access articles are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0). Akif has started to publish all scholarly articles under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license since 2015.
