Articles submitted to the journal are initially required to provide a Copyright Form, a Similarity Report, and Ethics Committee Approval (if applicable). If these forms are found to be missing during the preliminary review by the editor, the article will not be assigned to peer reviewers. Studies with a similarity rate exceeding 20% will not be considered for evaluation.
Articles submitted to the journal must comply with the publication and writing guidelines of the Afyon Kocatepe University Academic Music Research.
The entire process for articles is conducted exclusively through the journal system. Submissions via e-mail are strictly not accepted.

Articles to be featured in the journal must meet the rules set out in the following items:
- Submissions sent to the journal for publication must be based on a well-defined problem or subject, and the titles must be compatible with this problem or subject. The sources utilized must be rich and sufficient to reflect the scope of the study.
- The publication languages are Turkish and English. The copyediting of submissions sent to the journal is carried out by the assistant editors. The latest edition of the TDK (Turkish Language Association) Spelling Guide serves as the basis for spelling and punctuation. Submissions must be clear, understandable, and compliant with scientific standards in terms of language and expression.
- Submissions sent for publication, including the abstract and bibliography, must not exceed 6,000 words.
- The Editorial Board sends submissions it finds appropriate in terms of format and fields to referees (three referees); articles are accepted for publication with the approval of at least two of the three referees. Submissions decided to be revised for publication must be resubmitted by the authors within a maximum of 20 days. The revised text may be re-examined by the referees who requested the changes, if deemed necessary.
- Articles receiving referee approval are scheduled for publication by the editorial board based on the completion dates of the referee reports, taking the journal's thematic content as the primary basis.
- The copyright of articles published in the journal belongs to the journal. The right to republish a published article in its entirety is subject to the journal's permission.
- For translation submissions sent to the journal, the author's publication permission and the original text are required. Additionally, translation studies are sent for referee approval just like original works.
- The scientific and administrative responsibility of the articles in the journal rests with the author(s).
- Articles submitted to the journal must be in WORD FORMAT and submitted WITHOUT THE AUTHOR'S NAME.
