• The article to be sent to the journal should be placed in the text file template and adapted to the writing styles in the template. The file should be named “First three words of the title_Text_File” (Click for Text File).
• All information regarding the author and authors should be written in the “Cover File”. The article sent to the journal should not include author information. The file should be named “First three words of Title_Cover_File” (Click for Cover File).
• APA 7 format should be taken into consideration when preparing the references page (Click for APA-7 Reference Guide).
• Articles sent to our journal should not have been published or sent for publication elsewhere. Authors are deemed to have committed to this by sending their work to our journal.
• Articles to be sent to our journal must be reviewed by iThenticate or Turnitin plagiarism program. Studies with a similarity rate of more than 15% (the bibliography, footnotes of the articles and similarities smaller than 15% are excluded from the Turnitin review) are rejected without being sent for peer review. • Only those who contributed to the relevant study should be considered as authors. Those with conflicts of interest, if any, should be declared at the end of the article.

Ethics Statement

In accordance with the requirements of TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM, ethics committee approval is mandatory for all studies involving human and animal participation. Accordingly, ethics committee approval for studies to be submitted to the journal should be stated as “Approval numbered XXX/XXX and dated XX.XX.XXXX was obtained from the Ethics Committee of (University Name) for this study.”
If the study does not require ethics committee approval, it should be stated that no approval is required as “This study does not use any data that constitutes personal data processing or copyright infringement, and does not contain any experimental procedures with human or animal samples that would require ethics committee approval.”

SCOPE AND PUBLICATION PRINCIPLES

Art-ekin Art Design Journal aims to publish original scientific articles of researchers who work in the field of art and design, who follow innovations under the guidance of science and art. In this direction, it aims to create a platform that can be a source for researchers.
Art-Ekin Art Design Journal is published twice a year by Çankırı Karatekin University Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture. Art-Ekin Art Design Journal publishes innovative, scientific articles that contribute to the field in the fields of selected themes and subheadings under the main headings of painting, graphic design, visual communication design, fashion and design, cinema and television, photography, digital arts, new media, cyber culture, visual culture, digital society, digital game, ceramics, sculpture, music, music technologies, architecture, traditional arts, art history, philosophy of art, sociology of art, contemporary art, etc. 

Other Publication Principles:

• All authors who will submit articles to our journal must sign and submit the “Copyright Transfer Agreement”. Articles sent to our journal must not have been published or sent for publication elsewhere. Authors are deemed to have committed to this by submitting their work to our journal.
• There is no possibility of adding or removing any authors after the article is published. If such a situation occurs, the article must be withdrawn by the author.
• The responsibility for the published articles belongs entirely to the author(s). The journal does not accept any responsibility. The publishing rights of the articles accepted for publication are transferred to the journal.
• The main language of the journal is Turkish, but articles in English are also accepted. Turkish articles sent to our journal must comply with the Turkish Language Association Writing Guide. The editor-in-chief and editors may make any spelling changes without changing the content in order to preserve the linguistic integrity of the article.
• When authors submit their applications; “First three words of the title_Text_File”, “First three words of the title_Cover_File”, “Art-ekin Author Information Form”, “Art-ekin Ethics Declaration Form”, “Conflict of Interest and Support Declaration Form”, “Plagiarism Report (iThenticate or Turnitin)” and “Copyright Transfer Agreement” must be sent electronically via DERGİPARK.
