Art-ekin Art Desing Journal is a national peer-reviewed journal that brings together interdisciplinary studies, especially in the fields of art, design and communication. Art-ekin Journal is published twice a year (in December and June) by Cankiri Karatekin University, Faculty of Art Design and Architecture. In order for articles to be published in Art-ekin Journal, they must not have been published or accepted for publication elsewhere. Papers previously presented at a scientific meeting and articles produced from graduate studies can be accepted, provided that this is clearly stated. The publication language of the journal is Turkish and English.
Articles submitted to Art-ekin Journal for publication are evaluated by two peer-reviews (blind peer-reviewed method) who are experts in the subject after a preliminary evaluation by the Editorial Board, and published in case of a positive report from two peer-reviews. In case of a positive and a negative report, it is sent to a third peer-review for a final decision. Article proposals that do not comply with the publication principles and writing rules will not be evaluated.
At the time of application, authors are required to upload plagiarism reports scanned by iThenticate or Turnitin programmes for all articles. Articles with a similarity rate of more than 15%, excluding references, are rejected directly without proceeding to the evaluation stage.

We are pleased to announce the call for articles for Art-ekin Art Design Journal, an interdisciplinary and peer-reviewed publication that aims to develop knowledge and understanding of the field of art and design. We invite academics, researchers and practitioners from various disciplines to contribute their original research, theoretical, methodological and critical perspectives. The deadline for article submission is November 25, 2025 at 23:59.
Art-ekin Art Design Journal aims to publish original scientific articles by researchers working in the field of art and design, guided by science and art, following innovations. In this direction, we aim to create a platform that can be a resource for researchers.
Art-ekin Art Design Journal; It includes interdisciplinary research in the fields of art, design and communication. It is planned to publish innovative, contributing scientific articles in the fields of painting, graphic design, visual communication design, fashion and design, cinema and television, photography, digital arts, new media, cyber culture, visual culture, digital society, digital gaming, ceramics, sculpture, music, music technologies, architecture, traditional arts, art history, philosophy of art, sociology of art, contemporary art, etc. It is planned to publish innovative, contributing to the field in the fields of selected themes and subheadings under the main title.

Article Submission Dates

Art-ekin Journal is published twice a year, in June and December. The deadline for author(s) wishing to submit an article for the June issue is May 25, and the deadline for author(s) wishing to submit an article for the December issue is November 25.

The Editor and Editorial Board may apply a quota for article submissions depending on the number of submissions.
