ARTICLE SUBMISSION PRINCIPLES AND WRITING GUIDELINES

1. Article Submission Principles
  • The journal accepts original, current, and academically contributive scientific articles that have not been previously published and are not under the review by any another journal.
  • Articles submitted to the journal must comply with the Ethical Principles and Publication Policy. Click here for the Ethical Principles and Publication Policy.
  • Articles must also align with the Aims and Scope of the journal. Click here for the Aims and Scope.
  • In each issue, at least three-quarters of the published articles must be research and experimental studies. Review and systematic review articles may not exceed one-quarter of the total number of articles.
  • The publication languages of the journal are Turkish and English. At the initial submission stage, articles may be uploaded in either full-text Turkish or English. However, if the article is accepted for publication after the review process, the full text in both languages must be uploaded to the system. Turkish full text is not required from authors whose native language is not Turkish.
  • Submissions for our journal are only accepted through the electronic submission system, by uploading them to the Submit Article section. Submissions sent via email or other communication channels will not be considered for evaluation.
  • The same author may not have more than one article under review simultaneously. An author whose article has been published in the journal may submit a second article for publication only after at least one year from the issue in which their first article appeared.
  • Editors involved in the content review process (Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editors, Field Editors, etc.) may not publish as authors in the journal while serving in these roles. Language and Layout Editors, provided that they do not participate in the content review process in any way, may submit one article during their term of service.
  • No more than 25% of the articles published in a calendar year may be authored by individuals affiliated with Ankara University.

  • Considering both Turkish and English full texts together, the total word count (excluding references) must not exceed 13,000 words (6500 words in Turkish; 6500 words in English).
  • If the article is derived from a thesis, project, or conference paper, this must be indicated in a footnote at the end of the title.
  • In articles derived from theses, the first author must be the thesis owner. If the thesis advisor is not included as an author, a signed waiver form confirming this must be uploaded to the system.
  • At the submission stage, author titles, institutional affiliations, contact details, ORCID, and ROR ID must not be included. These details will be added during the layout stage after acceptance.
