All articles published in the Journal of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Bartın University are peer-reviewed, and every article submitted for publication undergoes the peer review process described below.
Preliminary Review
All manuscripts submitted to the journal are first subjected to a preliminary review by the Editor and the Editorial Board. Manuscripts that fall outside the journal’s scope or do not comply with the content and format requirements of a scientific manuscript are rejected without initiating the peer review process, or revisions may be requested. At this stage, no manuscript can be accepted for publication by the editor without a positive peer review report.
Peer Review
The Journal of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Bartın University, employs a double-blind peer review system at every stage of the process, ensuring the anonymity of both reviewers and authors.
Manuscripts that pass the preliminary evaluation stage are sent to three reviewers selected by the editor and/or the editorial board. Reviewers are chosen from the reviewer pool based on their areas of expertise.
Reviewers evaluate the manuscripts submitted to them in terms of originality, methodology, contribution to the literature, presentation of findings, support for conclusions, and the use of previous studies. Reviewers may accept the article, reject it, or request that the authors make revisions regarding form and/or content. For a manuscript to be accepted for publication, at least two reviewers must provide a positive review.
If a reviewer or reviewers request revisions, the author(s) must complete the requested revisions within 30 days, taking into account the reviewers’ critiques and suggestions, and resubmit the manuscript to the Editorial Board. Manuscripts not accepted for publication are not returned to the authors.
Final Review
For all articles that have reached the publication stage following positive reviews from the referees, the final review is conducted by the Editorial Board. Articles deemed “suitable for publication” by the Editorial Board are placed in the publication queue.
