General Archiving Principles and Digital Preservation To prevent the loss of published contents in the digital environment and to ensure their long-term preservation and accessibility, Bayburt University Journal of Science is committed to providing a secure archiving infrastructure. In this context, our journal uses the following archiving and preservation systems:
- DergiPark Archive: Our journal solely accepts and digitally archives articles through the DergiPark online system under the umbrella of TUBITAK ULAKBIM.
- LOCKSS Digital Archiving System: To allow the creation of permanent archives, our journal uses the LOCKSS system, which is a library-led digital preservation system built on the principle of “safeguarding a large number of copies”.
Self-Archiving Policy In line with our efforts to support the dissemination of research results, our journal grants the following permissions for self-archiving:
- Access Without Embargo: The publisher allows authors to use all versions of an article (the initially submitted manuscript, the peer-reviewed accepted version, and the final published version) for self-archiving on their personal websites or in an institutional repository after publication, without any embargo period.
- Academic Networks and Archives: Authors may self-archive their articles in public and/or commercial subject-based repositories without an embargo.
- Distribution Permission: Authors can download the article output as a PDF document and may send copies of the article to their colleagues without any restrictions.
