Manuscripts must be submitted via the DergiPark system together with an Originality Report (generated by Turnitin or iThenticate), a Copyright Transfer Agreement, and, where applicable, an Ethics Committee Approval Document.
Upon submission, manuscripts are first subjected to a preliminary technical review by the Assistant Editor to ensure compliance with formatting guidelines, completeness of required documents, anonymization, and similarity rate criteria. Manuscripts that meet these requirements are forwarded to the Editor.
The Editor conducts an initial evaluation to assess the manuscript’s relevance to the journal’s aims and scope, scientific quality, and originality. Manuscripts deemed suitable are categorized according to subject area and assigned to the relevant Associate Editor.
The Associate Editor performs a content-based preliminary assessment. Manuscripts considered appropriate for peer review are sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the field and affiliated with different institutions. The review process is conducted under a double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential.
Each manuscript is evaluated by two reviewers within the designated time frame. A consensus between the two reviewers is required for acceptance or rejection. In the event of conflicting reports, the Associate Editor appoints a third reviewer. The final decision is made based on the third reviewer’s evaluation.
If minor revisions are requested, authors must submit the revised manuscript within 20 days. In the case of major revisions, authors are granted up to 45 days to resubmit the revised version.
Following completion of the peer review process, the Associate Editor forwards the manuscript to the Editor. The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor.
Accepted manuscripts undergo a final technical and formatting check by the Editor and Assistant Editor before being prepared for publication and submitted to the Editorial Board.
