Authors' Duties and Responsibilities

Authorship and Contribution
Authorship should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. If there are individuals who have made only minor contributions, such as language editing or proofreading, they should be acknowledged in the acknowledgments section. The corresponding author should ensure that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the manuscript and have agreed to its submission for publication. Authors are expected to carefully review and confirm the list and order of authors before submitting their manuscript, providing the definitive list of authors at the time of original submission. The editor will only consider additions, deletions, or reordering of authors after the manuscript has been submitted in exceptional circumstances. All authors must agree to any such additions, deletions, or reordering. Authors share joint responsibility for the work.

Requests for Author Changes
Changes to the list of authors, including the addition, deletion, or reordering of author names, can only be made before the manuscript is accepted and must be approved by the Editor of the journal. If such a change is requested, the Editor will require from the corresponding author: (a) the reason for the change in the list of authors, and (b) written consent (via email) from all authors accepting the addition. The Editor will only consider additions, deletions, or reordering of authors after the manuscript has been accepted in exceptional circumstances.

Article Writing
Authors of original research articles should address the topic in a unique and objective manner. The article should contain sufficient details and references to allow others to replicate the study. Deceptive or knowingly false statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.

Originality
The author must ensure that the article is original, has not been previously published elsewhere, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere in another language.

Original Source Usage and Citation
Authors should ensure that they write entirely original works and if they have used the works or words of others, they must ensure that it is appropriately cited. Information obtained privately, as in conversation, correspondence, or discussion with third parties, should not be used without the explicit written permission of the source.

Data Access and Preservation
Authors may be asked to provide research data supporting their articles for editorial review and/or comply with the journal's open data requirements. Authors should be prepared, if possible, to provide public access to such data and to retain such data for a reasonable period after publication. Our journal recommends uploading research data to TUBITAK's Aperta Portal.

Multiple and Simultaneous Publication
An author should not publish the same research in multiple journals. Submitting the same article to more than one journal simultaneously is unethical behavior. An author should not submit a previously published article to another journal for evaluation, except in abstract form.

Publication of Studies Based on Surveys and Interviews
For research conducted in all fields requiring ethical committee approval (ethical committee approval must be obtained, this approval must be indicated and documented in the article. In research requiring ethical committee approval, information about the permission (committee name, date, and number) should be included in the methods section, as well as on the first/last pages of the article; in case reports, information should be provided in the article about obtaining signed informed consent forms from the volunteers.

Conflict of Interest
Conflict of interest refers to any financial or other interests or conflicts that may lead to a person being compromised in their work, significantly impair their objectivity, or provide an unfair advantage or disadvantage to any individual or organization. All sources of financial support received and the role of sponsors in the conduct of the research and preparation of the article should be disclosed. If there is no funding source, this should also be stated. Examples of potential conflicts of interest that need to be disclosed include consultancies, salary receipts, and grants. Potential conflicts of interest should be disclosed at the earliest possible stage.

Error Reporting
When an author discovers a significant error or mistake in their published work, they should promptly notify the journal. It is also the author's obligation to collaborate with the editor if it is deemed necessary to retract or correct the article. If an editor or publisher learns from a third party that a published work contains an error, it is also the author's obligation to collaborate with the editor, including providing information to the editor.

Image Integrity
It is unacceptable to enhance, obscure, move, remove, or add specific features in an image. Authors must adhere to the policy applied by the journal for graphical visuals.
