Policy - Plagiarism Policy

Manuscripts submitted to EKSEN MFD are screened for similarity using internationally recognized plagiarism detection software. During the submission process, the author must obtain a similarity report using one of the plagiarism detection programs (IThenticate, Turnitin, İntihal Net) or through the plagiarism screening system provided by the DergiPark platform.

Plagiarism in all forms is unethical publication behaviour that is unacceptable. Please see our Publication Ethics page for details.

The rules considered in the similarity assessment process are as follows:
• The overall similarity rate of the manuscript must be 20% or below. Manuscripts with an overall similarity rate exceeding 20% are returned to the author without entering the peer-review process.
• Within the overall similarity rate, the similarity rate to any single source must be less than 2%.
• Bibliographic materials (references, quotations, etc.) are excluded from the screening.
• The Editor may conduct similarity checks at any stage of the publication process.
• All authors submitting a manuscript are deemed to have accepted the above-mentioned rules.
