Policy – Archiving and Indexing

Articles published in Eksen Dokuz Eylül University Journal of the Faculty of Architecture are archived for the long term through the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) digital preservation system via the DergiPark infrastructure. In addition, published articles may be made accessible without any embargo in the institutional repositories of the authors’ affiliated universities, subject-based open archives, or other appropriate digital storage platforms. Through this policy, it is ensured that the scientific studies published in the journal are freely and immediately accessible to all researchers.

The archiving policy of Eksen Dokuz Eylül University Journal of the Faculty of Architecture (e-ISSN: 2757-5640) includes the following principles:

  • The journal allows the authors to store their work on their personal or institutional web pages and to deposit the final published version in institutional repositories.
  • Authors may self-archive their articles in open access or commercial subject-based digital archives.
  • No embargo period is applied for authors. However, archived works must include proper citation to the journal and provide a link to the article’s DOI number or its page in the journal.
  • Authors may download the PDF version of the article and share it with colleagues without any embargo.

LOCKSS Digital Archiving System

The LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) digital archiving system is used to ensure the long-term preservation of the content published in the journal. Developed by Stanford University Libraries, this system ensures the secure preservation of digital content through a distributed archiving method.
