Pre-review
1. Submissions to the Erzincan University Journal of Education Faculty (EUJEF) must be original and not previously published or under consideration by another journal. However, articles that have been presented in full or in part, or published as an abstract at a scientific conference may be submitted with appropriate acknowledgment of the event details on the title page.
2. International authors do not have to add the Turkish abstract of the manuscript, they should only fill in the English version of the Title Page.
3. Research articles intended for publication in EUJEF must have received approval from an ethics committee.
4. Authors are required to adhere to the EUJEF author guidelines when preparing their manuscripts, and are encouraged to review these guidelines prior to submission.
5. Submitted articles undergo automatic similarity screening, and those exceeding the acceptable similarity threshold are returned to the authors.
6. All editorial processes for EUJEF submissions are conducted electronically.
7. Upon submission, articles undergo an initial review to ensure compliance with journal formatting guidelines and the inclusion of all necessary files. Additionally, measures are taken to ensure that the content of the main text and accompanying files do not disclose authors' identities or institutional affiliations to referees. Manuscripts failing to meet these criteria are returned to authors for revision. Authors are expected to address any identified deficiencies within the specified timeframe.
8. Manuscripts that pass the initial review stage are then forwarded to the editor-in-chief for further evaluation.
Review Process
1. The articles that successfully pass the initial screening phase undergo a preliminary assessment conducted by the editor-in-chief, focusing on the alignment with the journal's objectives, publication guidelines, and article quality. If deemed necessary during this stage, the article may be forwarded to language and/or statistics editors for further review. Based on the outcomes of the preliminary evaluation, the editor may opt to revise, reject, or refer the article to the field editor.
2. The field editor assesses the article with regard to the research problem, relevance and novelty of the topic, research methodology, and the quality of the findings. Subsequently, the field editor may choose to revise, reject, or send the manuscript to referees.
3. Following the field editor's evaluation, the article is assigned to a minimum of two referees. EUJEF operates a double-blind review process, ensuring that referees and authors are unaware of each other's identities. Referees evaluate the articles based on the Referee Evaluation Form.
4. The final decision is made by the field editor and/or the editor based on the feedback from the referees. Following the referee assessments, the field editor may assign the article to different referees if necessary. Depending on the referee evaluations, the field editor may decide on major corrections, minor revisions, acceptance, or rejection of the article. In the event of a correction requirement, the revised version of the article is resubmitted to the referees for re-evaluation.
5. Authors are expected to make the necessary edits to the article within the specified timeframe in case of a correction decision. Failure to meet the correction deadlines may result in the field editor granting additional time to the authors or returning the article for further revisions.
Publication Process
1. Upon completion of the evaluation process, articles deemed suitable for publication are passed on by the editor to the language editor, layout editor, and publication editor. Should any language or spelling corrections be necessary, authors are required to address these within a specified timeframe. Failure to do so within the stipulated deadlines may result in the editor granting an extension or returning the article to the authors.
2. The editor assigns a DOI number to the finalized manuscripts, which are then published in the "early view" section of the Erzincan University Journal of Faculty of Education (EUJEF) website.
3. When selecting articles for inclusion in upcoming issues, various criteria such as submission date, field distribution, and language are taken into account. The editor reserves the right to prioritize articles in English for publication.
4. Authors are required to transfer publication rights of their works, as outlined in the provided copyright form, to the EUJEF. No remuneration is provided to authors for published works.
5. It is important to note that the opinions and scientific accountability expressed in the articles are solely attributed to the authors, and Erzincan University Journal of Faculty of Education bears no responsibility in this regard.
6. Articles published in the EUJEF are openly accessible to readers via the journal's website.
