Journal of Eskisehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Theology contains original scientific publications. All published articles, except editorials, are subject to a double blind peer review process.

Purpose and Scope

The aim of the journal is to contribute to science by publishing high quality texts of scientific importance. For this purpose, original research articles, reviews, case reports and letters to the editor are published in the basic field of theology. Journal of Eskisehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Theology is an independent, double-blind peer-reviewed, open access, print and online journal that aims to publish articles in all sub-branches of the basic field of Theology. Articles should describe original data that have not been previously published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts that are deemed suitable for the submission rules Journal of Eskisehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Theology and the scope of the journal are sent to at least two referees who are experts in their fields for scientific evaluation. The Editorial Board members of Journal of Eskisehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Theology then take into account the comments of the referees on each submission. The final decision for all submitted manuscripts belongs to the Editor-in-Chief. The Editorial Board of the Journal of Eskisehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Theology is committed to comply with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) criteria.

Article Submissions

• Submitted manuscripts must be appropriate to the purpose and scope of the journal. Original, unpublished manuscripts that are not in the evaluation process in another journal and whose content and submission have been approved by each author are accepted for evaluation.

• Multiple submissions by the same author within the same issue are not considered for review. In addition, for authors who have an article in the first issue of the same year, any new submissions are returned to the author without consideration for the other issues of that year. The same author’s work is not featured in consecutive (back-to-back) issues; there must be at least two intervening issue before new submissions can be considered. This policy also applies to co-authored manuscripts. Special Issues are exempt from this policy.

• At least one of the author or authors of the article must have a PhD degree. In articles produced from thesis, the student should be indicated as the first author and the supervisor as the second author.

Readership

The target audience is members of the profession, experts, researchers, specialists and doctoral students in all fields of theological sciences, as well as students related to this field. It aims to contribute to the spread of continuous professional development and research culture.
