As has been the case throughout history, religion plays a significant role in both establishing social peace and exacerbating conflicts in today's world. Religious teachings and values have the potential to strengthen the foundations of communication, reconciliation, and tolerance among different cultures and societies. However, historical and contemporary examples also demonstrate that religion can sometimes become a source or a fuel for conflicts. Therefore, the contribution of religion to peace and its role in conflict resolution is an important area of research that should be examined from an interdisciplinary perspective.

This special issue, to be published in English, will explore the role of religion in peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and reconciliation processes, both theoretically and practically. Discussions are encouraged across a wide spectrum, from historical experiences to contemporary global challenges, and from religious traditions to modern methods of conflict resolution.
