fe journal: feminist critique publishes the full text of articles in Turkish and English languages. The manuscript will be published in the language in which it is submitted unless a translation is provided by the author.
We invite papers on sociology, history, literature, and medical sciences on gender studies.
Comparative approaches within and between Mediterranean and Balkan as well as Asian countries are especially encouraged.
Along with academic papers, we issue research notes, political writings, and personal narratives.
Visual material and texts in dialogue with a form of visual thinking will be welcome. The journal is open to creative writing-visuals and especially encourages the use of video and photography.
Apart from academic articles, field notes, political narratives, personal narratives and book introduction articles will also be included.
The article should be saved in Word or Openoffice.
The article should use 12 pt Times New Roman in the main text, and 10 pt in notes, tables and bibliography.
The article should be double indented.
The article should be between 5000 and 7000 words.
The article should have a 400 word, 10 pt abstract with five keywords.
The article should be formatted according to the Chicago Manual of Style 15. Author-Date style.

fe journal aims to provide original contributions, not based on translation. It cares about the ethical rules of academic writing. These are briefly as follows:
Authors are expected to submit plagiarism check (intihalnet, isnad, turnitin, i-thenticate reports) with their articles. Studies with a similarity rate of more than 15% and / or more than 3% from a single source do not enter the referee process. (We prefer it to be no more than 10%.)
It is expected that the article will not be sent to other journals simultaneously.
It is expected that other authors whose names are written in the article have contributed to the research and this contribution will be specifically stated in the article or correspondence. It is not ethical, nor is accepted by our journal, that people who do not contribute to the paper be listed as authors and/or based on hierarchical criteria such as title, age or gender, regardless of the contribution.
For the Reviewers
Reviewers only review manuscripts for which they may conduct blind reviews, and after the article review process, information about the article reviewed is not to be shared with others. While evaluating the conformity of the content of the articles with academic criteria, they are be open about differences in opinion in the article. In referee reports, contemptuous and accusatory statements are expected to be be avoided. In the case of a rejection, the referees are required to demonstrate in a concrete way the issues on which their conclusion is based.

Asuman Özgür Keysan, Ankara’daki Atılım Üniversitesi Siyasal Bilgiler ve Kamu Yönetimi Bölümü'nde öğretim üyesiyim. Doktoramı Birleşik Krallık’taki Strathclyde Üniversitesi Siyaset Bilimi Bölümü'nde tamamladım. "Activism and Women’s NGOs in Turkey: Civil Society, Feminism and Politics (2018)" başlıklı kitabımı yayımladım. International Migration, Asian Journal of Women's Studies ve Journal of Refugee Studies gibi uluslararası dergilerde makalelerim yayımlandı ve çeşitli ulusal ve uluslararası araştırma projelerinde yer aldım. Başlıca çalışma alanlarım arasında toplumsal cinsiyet politikaları, göç teorileri, sivil toplum ve toplumsal hareketler ile Türkiye siyaseti yer alıyor. Şu anda Warwick Üniversitesi Hukuk Fakültesi'nde Misafir araştırmacı olarak yer alıyorum.
Doç. Dr. Aylin Çakıroğlu Çevik, 2002 yılında Ankara Üniversitesi Dil ve Tarih-Coğrafya Fakültesi Sosyoloji Bölümü'nden lisans derecesini almış ve aynı yıl Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi (ODTÜ) Sosyoloji Bölümü'nde yüksek lisans eğitimine başlamıştır. Yüksek lisans derecesini 2007 yılında aldıktan sonra aynı üniversitede doktora eğitimine devam etti. 2011 yılında University of California, Los Angeles'ta (UCLA) misafir araştırmacı olarak bulundu ve 2015 yılında ODTÜ'den doktora derecesini aldı.
2002-2015 yılları arasında ODTÜ Sosyoloji Bölümü'nde araştırma görevlisi olarak çalışan Doç. Dr. Aylin Çakıroğlu Çevik, 2017 yılından bu yana TED Üniversitesi Sosyoloji Bölümünde çalışmaktadır. Ayrıca 2019 yılından itibaren de Göç Çalışmaları Yüksek Lisans programının anabilim dalı başkanlığını yürütmektedir.
Lisans ve lisansüstü eğitimini Ankara Üniversitesi’nde tamamladı. 1992-98 arası Ankara Üniversitesi Eğitim Bilimleri Fakültesi’nde araştırma görevlisi olarak çalıştı, 1998'de doktorasını tamamladı. 1999’dan bu yana Ankara Üniversitesi İletişim Fakültesi’nde çalışıyor; 2001 yılından bu yana da ODTÜ’de Film Analysis dersini vermektedir. 2004’de doçent, 2010’da profesör oldu. çeşitli dönemlerde Bölüm Başkanlığı, Senatörlük (2010-2012) ve Dekanlık (20 Eylül 2012-15 Kasım 2015) yaptı. Üç dönem İLDEK (İletişim Fakülteleri Dekanları) Yürütme Kurulu Başkanlığı yaptı. Sinema Anabilim Dalı Başkanı olan Öztürk, halen İletişim Fakültesi Radyo Televizyon ve Sinema Bölüm Başkanı'dır. Sinema alanında çeşitli kitap ve makaleleri bulunmaktadır. Türkiye’nin ilk hakemli sinema dergisi sinecine: Sinema Araştırmaları Dergisi’nin kurucularındandır ve editörlüğünü yapmıştır, halen derginin yayın kurulundadır. 2014 yılında dekanlığı döneminde yayımlanmaya başlayan İlef Dergisi'nin Yayın Kurulu'ndadır, çeşitli sayılarda editörlük de yapmıştır.
