DİJİTAL ÇAĞDA KURUMSAL SOSYAL SORUMLULUĞA YENİ BİR YAKLAŞIM: KURUMSAL DİJİTAL SORUMLULUK KAVRAMININ BANKACILIK SEKTÖRÜ AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Kurumsal sosyal sorumluluk kavramı son yıllarda işletmeler açısından artan bir öneme sahiptir. Kurumlar sosyal sorumluluk faaliyetleri ile kurum itibarlarını güçlendirmekte, paydaşların kuruma olan güven duygularını güçlendirmektedirler. Dijital dönüşüm ile değişen faaliyet alanları ve ortaya çıkan yeni sorumluluk biçimleri kurumsal sosyal sorumluluk kavramına da yeni bir boyut getirmiş, kurumsal dijital sorumluluk kavramı ortaya çıkmıştır.
Bu çalışmanın amacı kurumsal dijital sorumluluk kavramının Türkiye’de bankacılık sektörü açısından gelişimini irdelemektir. Bu bağlamda çalışmada bankacılık sektöründe ilgili alanlarda çalışan kişilerle (kurumsal iletişim yöneticileri, sosyal sorumluluk ve sürdürülebilirlik departman sorumluları, bilgi işlem departmanı yöneticileri, yazılımcılar) niteliksel bir araştırma yöntemi olan derinlemesine görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçları göstermiştir ki kurumsal dijital sorumluluk kavramı bankacılık sektöründe oldukça yeni bir kavram niteliği taşımaktadır. Gelişimi ve kavrama dair stratejilerin sağlam temellerle oluşturulması için rehberlere, düzenlemelere ve teşvik edici uygulamalara ihtiyaç vardır.

A NEW APPROACH TO CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IN THE DIGITAL AGE: EXAMINING THE CONCEPT OF CORPORATE DIGITAL RESPONSIBILITY IN THE BANKING SECTOR

Abstract

The concept of corporate social responsibility has an increasing importance for businesses in recent years. Institutions strengthen their corporate reputation with their social responsibility activities and strengthen the trust of the stakeholders towards the institution. With digital transformation, the changing fields of social responsibility activities and new forms of responsibility have brought a new dimension to the concept of corporate social responsibility, and the concept of corporate digital responsibility has emerged.
The aim of this study is to examine the development of the concept of corporate digital responsibility in terms of the banking sector in Turkey. In this context, in-depth interviews, which is a qualitative research method, were conducted with people working in related fields in the banking sector (corporate communication managers, social responsibility and sustainability department heads, IT department managers, software developers). The results of the research have shown that the concept of corporate digital responsibility is a new concept in the banking sector. There is a need for guides, regulations and encouraging practices for the development and establishment of conceptual strategies with solid foundations.
