To initiate the peer review process for a manuscript submitted to IJMA, the Editorial Processing Fee must be paid. The fee is 100 US dollars. This fee is due after the manuscript has been uploaded to the system by the author and before the peer review process begins, following the notification sent by the journal. Once the payment is made and the receipt is reviewed by the journal management, the peer review process will start.

If the author withdraws the manuscript, the fee is non-refundable. However, if the manuscript fails the peer review process, half of the fee will be refunded to the author. Additionally, authors of unsuccessful manuscripts may submit a new paper to the journal free of charge.

As the journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) at the time of manuscript submission, regardless of acceptance or rejection, it does not fall into the category of predatory/dubious journals.
