The International Journal of Management Economics and Business (IJMEB) aims to publish research articles that provide in-depth analyses in the fields of Economics, Business Administration, and Political Science, four times a year (March, June, September, and December). In this context, original studies that are directly or indirectly related to these core fields and that make a genuine academic contribution are also considered for evaluation.
The journal is interested in studies that utilize a novel dataset and contribute to the related literature through the originality of its findings. Submissions to the journal must include research motivation, aim, testable hypotheses (if applicable), and contributions to the existing research. The language of the journal is English and Turkish; however, English submissions are encouraged.
- In line with the objectives of IJMEB:
Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously evaluated or rejected by IJMEB, published on any academic platform, or simultaneously submitted to another journal for consideration.
The journal evaluates not only submissions from academics but also original scientific contributions from researchers and professionals working in practice-oriented fields.
An author cannot have more than one article published in the same volume, nor can multiple manuscripts by the same author be simultaneously under review. Additionally, the number of articles published in a single issue by authors affiliated with the same university or institution cannot exceed 10% of the total number of articles. In this regard, the journal strives to ensure scientific and institutional diversity, equal publishing opportunities, and balance in academic representation.
The languages of publication are Turkish and English; however, manuscripts written in English that present in-depth analyses supported by qualitative or quantitative methods are given priority in the review process.
Only original research articles are considered for evaluation; other types of submissions such as review articles or book reviews are not accepted for publication.
Manuscripts that lack theoretical depth and analytical contribution, and that are limited to descriptive data only, are not considered research articles according to the journal’s publication policy. To be eligible for review, manuscripts must be structured around a clear research question or hypothesis, linked to a theoretical framework, and supported by scientific methods with in-depth analyses. The methodology employed (qualitative or quantitative) must be clearly defined, and the study is expected to present original findings, evaluations, and discussions that contribute to the literature.
The journal supports research within its scope that has social and technological impact, offers solutions to global challenges, or contributes to policy development. Priority is given to studies addressing contemporary and thematic issues (e.g., digital transformation, climate change, sustainable development, financial inclusion, regional development, migration and demographic change, social inequalities).
In accordance with the publication policy, articles derived from conference or symposium proceedings, as well as from master’s theses, are not accepted for evaluation. However, manuscripts based on doctoral dissertations may be considered, provided that they are prepared and submitted in English.
All submissions are subject to similarity checks. Manuscripts must not exceed a 20% overall similarity rate (excluding references), and similarity from a single source must not exceed 3%. Submissions exceeding these limits will not be considered for review.
Authors must prepare their manuscripts in accordance with research and publication ethics. For studies involving human participants (such as surveys), an ethics committee approval obtained from the relevant institution is mandatory. This approval must be explicitly stated in the manuscript and appropriately documented. In addition, permission must be obtained from copyright holders for the use of scales, surveys, visual materials, or similar content created by others, and this permission must be clearly indicated in the manuscript. Manuscripts lacking ethics approval or the necessary intellectual property and copyright permissions will be excluded from the evaluation process in accordance with the journal’s publication policy.
