Aim & Scope

International Journal of Curriculum and Instructional Studies (IJOCIS) aims to provide an international scientific platform for publishing original research, systematic review and theoretical/conceptual articles in the field of curriculum and instruction. Research articles may come from different research traditions including quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods. Practice-based research articles such as action research and developmental research as well as systematic literature reviews, meta-synthesis, and meta-analysis articles are also welcomed. The main focus of the submitted articles should be curriculum and instructional studies to be eligible for publication.

IJOCIS publishes articles in the field of curriculum and instruction, and does not publish articles that solely describe and evaluate programs, courses, and textbooks without scientific evidence and methodology (e.g., based on the author’s views). In addition, articles that primarily focus on other areas in educational sciences such as measurement and evaluation, educational administration, educational technology, guidance and counselling will not be considered for publication even if they address curriculum and instruction as secondary to their primary focus.
