Our journal aims to present original research on the languages, linguistics, literature, history, and social sciences concerning the Kurdish regions and Kurdish populations from antiquity down to the present. In addition to core Kurdish studies, the journal welcomes research exploring any aspects of Kurdish relations with and influences on the Middle East, Mesopotamia, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Europe, and the global Kurdish diaspora.


 

IJOKS welcomes original research articles, book reviews, and translation texts for publication. The journal's primary focus encompasses Kurdish Studies across all academic disciplines.

Following an initial editorial screening, all submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process, ensuring that the identities of both authors and reviewers remain strictly confidential. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, methodological rigor, and scientific contribution to the field.

Furthermore, the journal welcomes interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary studies—including regional development, economic transformation, digital governance, agricultural development, technology adoption, and environmental studies—provided that they directly focus on, or have explicit implications for, Kurdish regions and populations.
