He was born in 1995 in Karacabey, Bursa. He graduated from Yalova University Faculty of Theology in 2018. He started working as a research assistant at Ataturk University Faculty of Theology in 2019. He prepared and presented his thesis titled "Thing itself in Ismail Kalanbawi" at the end of 2020. He is currently continuing his doctoral studies in the field of Fundamental Islamic Sciences-Kalam at Ataturk University.
Esra Hacımüftüoğlu is an academician who conducts research in the field of tafsir. She completed her doctorate at Atatürk University and currently works as an Associate Professor at the same university. She has research on the Qur’an, tafsir and semantics. She worked as a manager and researcher in various projects. She has various academic studies in the form of books, articles and papers.
Karabük University Faculty of Islamic Sciences Lecturer
Prof. Dr. Ulvi Karagedik is currently Assistant Professor for Islamic Theology and Islamic Religious Education at the University of Education in Karlsruhe (Pädagogische Hochschule Karlsruhe).
He studied Islamic Religious Studies as well as Judeo-Christian Religious Studies and Pedagogy at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, where he subsequently worked as a member of the academic staff. Between 2015 and 2019 he has written and lectured (at the University of Vienna) primarily on the Hadith (transmissions of the Prophet’s words and actions), the Sīra (biography of the Prophet), as well as on contemporary issues regarding Islam in Europe. Besides, he also taught as Lecturer at the Christian University of Education Vienna/Krems (Kirchlich-Pädagogische Hochschule Wien/Krems) and the University of Education in Vienna (Pädagogische Hochschule Wien).
His Ph.D.-thesis topic reads as “Hadith hermeneutics between tradition and innovation. A study of the historical influence of the Sunna and the application of a new hermeneutics on the basis of the example of apostasy transmissions“
Muammer İskenderoğlu was born in Trabzon in 1972. Upon receiving his primary and secondary education in his hometown he went to Istanbul where he graduated from Theological Faculty of Marmara University in 1993. In 1994 He won a scholarship from Turkish Higher Education Council to continue postgraduate studies in abroad. For this purpose, in 1995 he went to England. He received M.A. degree from Manchester University in 1997 and PhD degree from Birmingham University in 2001. After returning home, he started working at Sakarya University. In 2005 he received a one-year scholarship from Ministry of Education on Arabic Language and Literature and went to Jordan where he attended courses at the University of Jordan. In 2009 summer term he went to Loghatnameh Dehkhoda Institute & ICPS at the University of Tehran to study Persian. In 2010 summer term he joined courses in Imam Sadiq University in Tehran. In 2011 spring term, he did research in Catholic University of Leuven. Between 2017-2021 he worked at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University in Rize. He is currently working at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University where he teaches and writes on Muslim and Christian Thought.
