Muammer İskenderoğlu was born in Trabzon in 1972. Upon receiving his primary and secondary education in his hometown he went to Istanbul where he graduated from Theological Faculty of Marmara University in 1993. In 1994 He won a scholarship from Turkish Higher Education Council to continue postgraduate studies in abroad. For this purpose, in 1995 he went to England. He received M.A. degree from Manchester University in 1997 and PhD degree from Birmingham University in 2001. After returning home, he started working at Sakarya University. In 2005 he received a one-year scholarship from Ministry of Education on Arabic Language and Literature and went to Jordan where he attended courses at the University of Jordan. In 2009 summer term he went to Loghatnameh Dehkhoda Institute & ICPS at the University of Tehran to study Persian. In 2010 summer term he joined courses in Imam Sadiq University in Tehran. In 2011 spring term, he did research in Catholic University of Leuven. Between 2017-2021 he worked at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University in Rize. He is currently working at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University where he teaches and writes on Muslim and Christian Thought.

1957 yılında Trabzon’da doğdu. 1979 yılında Atatürk Üniversite-si Edebiyat Fakültesi Arap-Fars Dili ve Edebiyatı Bölümü’nden mezun oldu. Aynı bölümde 1980 yılında Fars Dili ve Edebiyatı Anabilim Dalı’nda asistan olarak göreve başladı. 1985 yılın-da doktor, 1990 yılında yardımcı doçent, 1991 yılında doçent ve 1997 yılında profesör unvanlarını aldı. Atatürk Üniversitesi, Selçuk Üniversitesi ve Kırıkkale Üniversitesinde görev yaptı. Kırıkkale Üniversitesi'nde 11 Şubat 2010- 10 Şubat 2014 tarihleri arasında rektör yardımcılığı görevinde bulundu. Ankara'daki Mevlânâ Araştırmaları Derneği'nin başkanlığını 2004 yılından itibaren sürdürmektedir. Fars Dili ve Edebiyatı, Klâsik Türk Edebiyatı, Mevlânâ ve eserleri üzerinde çalışmalar yapmaktadır.

Born in November 1978 in Istanbul, he completed his primary education in Fatih (Istanbul), his secondary education in Üsküdar (Istanbul), and his undergraduate education at Ankara University, Faculty of Theology in 2002. He completed his master’s degree in 2004 and doctorate in 2010 at Ankara University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Islamic History and Arts, Turkish Islamic Literature Discipline. He worked as a religious culture and moral knowledge and Arabic teacher in different high schools between 2005-2011. As of October 2011, he started working as Asst. Prof. Dr. in Sakarya University, Faculty of Theology, Department of Turkish Islamic Literature. He has been working as an Assoc. Professor since 2018. He has published national and international articles and papers. Although at different levels, he has knowledge of English, Persian, and Arabic. He is married and has three sons: Kerem Ali, İbrahim, and Alparslan. Some of his published works are as follows:
