The United Kingdom, a country of significant interest in Turkish foreign policy, continues to be a subject of scholarly and academic research. The Journal of Anglo-Turkish Relations (JATR) aims to meet this interest and curiosity regarding Turkish-British relations through its publications. The Journal of Anglo-Turkish Relations (JATR), which features analyses from Turkish and British perspectives on diplomatic, economic, political, military, commercial, and socio-cultural relations between the two countries, primarily aims to shed light on, understand, and critique Turkish-British relations. It also aims to contribute to the development of relations between the two countries.

Double-Blind Peer Review Process

The Journal of Anglo-Turkish Relations (JATR) is an internationally indexed and double-blind peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes scientific articles that have undergone a blind peer review process. At least two reviewers are assigned by the editor(s) based on the content of the studies and the reviewers' areas of expertise. Referees are also expected to make corrections to the text, if necessary. If one reviewer's report is negative, the article is sent to a third reviewer. If both reviewer reports are positive, the article is accepted for publication. After the completion of the review process, the editor-in-chief decides which studies will be published, taking into account the accuracy of the study, its importance to researchers and readers, the reviewer reports, and legal regulations such as copyright infringement and plagiarism. Blind peer review processes directly affect the quality of academic publications. Therefore, reviewers cannot directly contact the authors; evaluations and reviewer reports are transmitted through the journal's management system. In this process, evaluation forms and reviewer reports are sent to the author(s) through the editor. Personal criticism of authors should be avoided during the evaluation process. Evaluations should be objective and contribute to the improvement of the studies.
