ABOUT THE JOURNAL

The aim of the Journal of Health Sciences & Clinical Research is to provide a publication platform open to national and international scientific communities for the sharing of research findings, practical experiences, and scientific knowledge in the field of health sciences. The journal is a peer-reviewed electronic journal published three times a year (April, August, and December) in Turkish and English.

The journal publishes clinical and experimental research articles, case reports, narrative reviews, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, letters to the editor, editorial comments, and discussion papers on current topics in health sciences.

The evaluation process is conducted through a double-blind peer-review system. A DOI is assigned to each accepted article. Submissions that are not prepared in accordance with the journal template and author guidelines may be returned to the author for revision during the preliminary review stage; when deemed necessary, a technical rejection may be issued.

Journal of Health Sciences & Clinical Research is an open-access and free-of-charge journal. The journal is committed to ethical principles and scientific standards in the manuscripts it publishes and does not pursue commercial concerns. The journal adopts the principles and recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for editors, reviewers, authors, and publishers.

Manuscripts submitted for publication (except congress and scientific meeting abstracts/papers) must not have been published previously and must not be under consideration elsewhere. Studies previously presented as poster or oral presentations at scientific meetings and published in abstract form may be considered for evaluation, provided that this is clearly stated on the title page of the manuscript.

Manuscripts intended for publication in the journal must be prepared in accordance with the author guidelines and other submission requirements and uploaded through the system. Submissions that do not comply with these rules may be returned to the author for revision before being taken into evaluation.

The author information entered into the system and presented on the title page at the time of submission shall be taken as the basis. After the peer-review process has started, requests for adding or removing authors or changing the order of authorship are considered only in exceptional cases and are subject to the written, reasoned consent of all authors and the decision of the Editorial Board. In requests to remove an author from a manuscript, the written and reasoned approval of all authors must be submitted to the editorial office by e-mail or through the journal system.

During the submission process, authors are required to submit the “License to Publish and Author Declaration Form” prepared in accordance with the journal’s open-access and licensing policy.
