Aim & Scope
The Journal of Innovations in Civil Engineering and Technology aims to reach the latest scientific and technological developments in fields of civil engineering, architecture, environmental engineering, geomatics engineering, and geology engineering to the scientists, engineers, sectors, and readers.
The Journal of Innovations in Civil Engineering and Technology (JICIVILTECH) is a open access peer-reviewed international scientific journal that publishes original research articles as well as review articles in all areas of civil engineering and architecture. The journal accepts article studies from the specified disciplines and publishes research and review studies in its field. Contributions from academia and from industry are equally encouraged.

Authors must upload the copyright form to the system at the first registration, along with the article, via the online system (Dergipark system).

Submitted articles will be reviewed and evaluated by the relevant field editors, and the author will be informed about the status of the article.

(Right-Left-Bottom-Top) should be 2.5 cm.
Column Dimensions
Column Width should be 6.3 cm, and the interval should be 1.25 cm.
Title
14 Punto, Palatino Linotype font, centered and initials capitalized (except and, with, etc.). The title should be appropriate to the text, short and clear.
Author Names
The first letter of the author (s) 's name should be written in capital letters, the others should be in small letters, and the surname should be centered in capital letters, written in 10 font size. No academic titles are specified when writing the names of the authors. More than one author's name should be separated by commas and listed side by side. Numbers should be used as superscript to indicate author information (1, 2, 3, etc.) after author names. The name of the corresponding author must have a superscript star symbol (*). Author's name and surname should be written, and 1 line space should be left and the author's address, mail and ORCID ID information should be written in 8 pt, italic and centered. Author (s) are required to acquire and state an open researcher and participant ID (ORCID) (http://orcid.org).
Summary
It should be written without using a paragraph, not less than 100 words, and not exceeding 200 words. Abstract must be 10 point font, Palatino Linotype font, and justified.
1. Research article; If it is written in English, there should be an English title and summary followed by a Turkish title and summary.

Keywords

The text of the article should be written in Palatino Linotype font, 10 pt. Spacing 0 cm, Single line spacing and aligned to both sides (Only the text in the Acknowledgments and References section should be 9 pt.). The text can include numbered subheadings as needed. Each subtitle should be listed under its main heading. For example; 2.1., 2.2., 2.3. etc. The first letters of all the words of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree titles in the text should be written in capital letters (except and, etc.) and bold, for lower titles only the first word of the title should be capitalized and italicized. There should not be any spaces between paragraphs.
Figures
It must be in JPEG or TIFF format. Figure texts should be below the figure, Palatino Linotype font, 10 pt., Aligned on both sides and specially hanging (1.25 cm). The width of the figures should not exceed 6.3 cm for two columns and 13.2 cm for a single column. Each figure should be placed in the nearest place of reference in the text. Before the figure, reference should be made to the relevant figure. See the article template for an example of the figure. When ordering items in the text, bullets such as • should be preferred instead of numbers such as 1, 2, and 3.
Tables
Table titles should be on the upper side of the table, with Palatino Linotype font, 10 pt., Special hanging (1.25 cm) aligned on both sides. Each table should be placed in the nearest place of reference in the text. Before the table, reference must be made to the relevant table. See the article template for a sample table.
Equations
All formulas in the text should be written with the help of the equation editor in Palatino Linotype font and 10 pt using MS Office equation editor, and the equation number should be given in brackets (1), (2) at the end of the line where the equation is written. All units in articles must be in the SI unit system.
Section
1. Introduction:
The purpose and original value of the study, the studies done in the past, the research problem and how the presented study produced a solution, the innovation it brought to the literature, etc. This section should be specified by collating. A raw literature summary should be avoided. SI (Systeme International) units and abbreviations should be used in the article. When other abbreviations are used, they should be explained once in the first mention in the text.
2. Material and Method:
If the study is experimental, the experimental methods used should be given in detail and descriptively. The method (s) used in the article should be written descriptively in a way that can be repeated by other researchers.
3. Findings:
In this section, the data or findings obtained should be given; The results should be explained, if necessary, supported by tables and figures. The results should be discussed in a scientific framework, but unnecessary duplication should be avoided. In this section, rather than giving literature information, the results of the study should be focused on, the similarities and differences of the results with the previous studies should be given, and their possible reasons should be discussed. In this section, the contribution and importance of the obtained results to science should be included as much as possible.
4. Conclusion
The main purpose and objectives of the study, the most important results achieved in line with these goals, and general evaluations and recommendations should be presented in this section.

5. References
Palatino Linotype font should be 9 pt. (Indentation: Special Hanging 0.5 cm). Each reference should be without gaps. All literature referred to in the text should be included in "References". Unpublished information should not be given as a reference. (Examples of unpublished sources: Articles that are being prepared or sent to publish, unpublished information or observations, information obtained by interviewing individuals, reports, lecture notes, seminars, etc.). However, completed and juryed theses and articles with DOI numbers can be given as references. References should be given in alphabetical order at the end of the article (according to the surnames of the authors). If many publications of the same author (s) are cited, in the "sources" section, the relevant sources are listed in an order from old to new. Sources with the same date are listed by letter. For example: 2019a, 2019b. For authors with the same surname, the first letter of the first name is given alphabetically before the bibliography. For authors with the same surname, the first letter of the name is given alphabetically before the bibliography, even if the publication is older.
Attachments
The survey form, data, statistical analysis etc., supporting documents can be given in the appendices section. When more than one additional document is required to be submitted, a separate sequence number should be given for each annex. Appendices should be presented on different pages after the bibliography.
Endnote APA 6 format should be used in in-text references and in the writing of the bibliography, and the spelling rules of the journal should be carefully examined.

Note;
It is essential to reach the main reference in scientific studies. However, in cases where the original reference is not available, if the secondary reference is quoted, the secondary reference is indicated in the bibliography. For example (Korkmaz, quoted by Gürer, 2019). Korkmaz (2019) is included in the list of references with all his bibliographic information, while Gürer is not included in the references.

Draft articles are scanned for similarity. Similarity limits: General similarity should not be more than 25%, and individual similarity should not be more than 5%. If the similarity limits are exceeded, the author is requested to revise the text.

"The Journal of Innovations in Civil Engineering and Technology (JICIVILTECH)" undertakes to apply the highest standards of publication ethics and to abide by the following principles of the Publication Ethics and Abuse Statement. This declaration has been prepared on the basis of the recommendations and guidelines developed by the organization's named Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), Council of Science Editors (CSE), World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
Manuscripts submitted to the journal for publication should not have been previously published in another journal (including papers presented at scientific meetings and published in full text) or sent to any journal simultaneously for publication.

Author Responsibilities
Author (s) should ensure the originality of the manuscripts submitted. They must declare that the manuscript has not been published anywhere, in any language, or has not been evaluated for publication. They must comply with applicable copyright agreements and laws. In our journal, copyrighted material such as tables, figures, or other contributory quotations is published only with valid permission and copyright approval and this responsibility belongs to the authors. Author (or authors); should cite other authors, contributors, or sources appropriately and cite relevant sources. Author (s) of research papers (including short reports); Participate in and declare at least 3 stages of "designing the study", "collecting data", "reviewing data", "writing the text" and "confirming the accuracy of data and analyzes”. The authors are obliged to explain a financial relationship or conflict of interest or competing interest areas that need to be known about the study and may potentially affect the findings or scientific result of the study. They should clearly report all financial contributions, sponsorships, or project support to the work. When the author detects a meaningful scientific error or inconvenience in his published manuscript, he is obliged to contact the Editor as soon as possible in order to withdraw the manuscript or correct the error.
Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers evaluate the incoming manuscripts in terms of scientific content, regardless of their authors' ethnicity, gender, nationality, religious belief, or political philosophy. In terms of reviewers; There should be no conflict of interest or competition with the research, authors, or sponsors. Reviewers' decisions must be objective. Reviewers should indicate relevant publications that have not been cited by the author. They are obliged to keep all information about the submitted article confidential and to notify the Editor when they are aware of copyright infringement and plagiarism by the author. If the reviewers think that the content of a submitted manuscript is incompatible with his / her scientific field or experience, or if he/she cannot make a rapid evaluation, he/she should inform the Editor and ask for forgiveness from the evaluation process. Editor Responsibilities
Editors evaluate incoming manuscripts in terms of scientific content regardless of their authors' ethnicity, gender, gender preference, nationality, religious belief, or political philosophy. They provide a fair double-blind peer-review process for the publication of submitted manuscripts.
They ensure that all information regarding the submitted article is kept confidential until it is published.
Editor; It should not allow any conflicts of interest or competition that may arise between authors, editors, and referees. In the Journal of Innovations in Civil Engineering and Technology, only the Editor has the full authority to appoint a referee and is responsible for the final decision regarding the publication of the articles. Editors are responsible for the content and overall quality of the publication. They publish revisions through the Erratum pages when necessary.

In 2001, he was appointed as a research assistant to Afyon Kocatepe University, Faculty of Technical Education, Department of Construction Education. In 2005, he completed his master's degree in Afyon Kocatepe University, Institute of Naturel and Applied Science, Department of Construction Education, Department of Transportation. In the same year, he started his doctorate education in Süleyman Demirel University, Graduate Institute of Naturel and Applied Science, Department of Civil Engineering, Transportation Division, and completed this education in 2010. Between 2007-2011, he worked as Lecturer in Afyon Kocatepe University, Technical Education Faculty, Department of Construction. He was appointed as Assist. Prof. to Afyon Kocatepe University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Transportation Division at June 2011. He completed his military service as a reserve officer between 2011-2012 in Diyarbakir. Between 2013 and 2014, he performed post-doctoral research at Kansas State and Iowa State Universities, USA. He was awarded the title of "Associate Professor" in 2017 by the Turkish Higher Education Council. Asphalt pavements chip seals, road materials, anti-icing on highways, bituminous binders, intelligent transportation systems, and development of test devices are his fields of interest and he continued his research in these fields of Transportation Engineering. He supervised 9 MSc theses. He still continues to supervise 6 M.Sc and 4 Ph.D. theses. He teaches Topography, Highway Design, Railway, Highway, Bituminous Mixture Applications and Special Asphalt Pavements, History of Science at the undergraduate level. He teaches Bituminous Mixtures, Low Volume Roads, Railway Engineering and Ergonomics courses at the graduate level. He has more than 25 international and national papers, more than 75 orally/poster presented, and published papers in international/national scientific meetings. He was a member of the editorial board and reviewers in some international and national journals and scientific congresses, symposiums, etc.

Dr. Gözde Kırlı Özer is a faculty member at Bursa Uludağ University, Faculty of Architecture. Having completed her PhD in Architecture in 2020, Dr. Kırlı Özer specializes in architecture and urban planning, urban sustainability, archaeological site conservation and architectural design.
Her work includes multidisciplinary approaches and offers scientific contributions in the fields of architecture, archaeology and urbanism. The author has published articles in many journals within the scope of SCI-Expanded and ESCI and has been awarded the Yılmaz Akkılıç Bursa Research Award for his academic studies. She has also presented papers at various national and international congresses and symposiums and is a scientific referee.
Dr. Kırlı Özer's research covers a wide range of topics such as cultural heritage conservation, faith tourism, layered urban textures and sustainable design approaches, and she has assumed leadership and coordination roles in projects in this field. He has also emphasized the importance of design studios in architectural education and developed innovative methods in this field.
Dr. Kırlı Özer is fluent in English and continues her scientific and social contributions through architectural design projects, workshops and publications.
Dr. Primož Jelušič is associate professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering and Architecture, University of Maribor, Slovenia. Primož Jelušič obtained his PhD in 2013 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Maribor, where he was employed as assistant in the field of Building Materials an assistant in the field of Geotechnics. Associate prof. dr. Primož Jelušič is involved in pedagogical and research work. His research is primarily focused on the optimization of structures and Geotechnics. Dr. Primož Jelušič constantly transfers gained knowledge into practice, through the education of students at home and abroad. Primož task is also to carry out the revision of civil engineering projects important for the community.
