Open Access Policy

1. Open Access Principles

Free Access: All articles published in the International Journal of Museum Education are freely accessible through the journal website. Articles can be read, downloaded, shared and printed without any fees or membership. JIMuseumED acknowledges and supports the "Budapest Open Access Initiative" dated September 12, 2012.

Copying and Distribution Rights: Articles are published in the International Journal of Museum Education under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. This license grants others the right to copy, distribute and reuse the article, provided that the author is credited. Authors transfer their publishing rights with this license, which encourages free access and use of the articles.

Research Transparency: The open access model increases the transparency and reproducibility of research. Authors should identify the datasets, methodologies, and other relevant materials used in the articles in a way that allows readers to verify and use this information.

2. Publication Fees and Funding

Article Processing Fee: The Journal of International Museum Education does not charge an article processing fee (APC) to cover the costs of open-access publishing. Our journal carries out the entire publication process with our volunteer human resources.

Research Funding: Authors must disclose any external funding sources supporting their work. Within the scope of the open access model, research is encouraged to share funding information transparently.

3. Publication Ethics and Quality Control

Peer Review: All articles published in the Journal of International Museum Education are subject to a double-blind peer review. This process ensures that the articles comply with scientific and academic standards and increases publication quality.
