Journal of Music and Folklore Studies (JMFS) is an international scientific-academic journal published by Sakarya University State Conservatory twice a year, in June and December.
The journal is published in Turkish and English.
Articles submitted to the journal are screened for originality to avoid plagiarism. The acceptable similarity rate is a maximum of 20%.
After the submitted articles are reviewed by the editorial board, they are published following the evaluation of two referees who are experts on the subject (double-blind refereeing), a third referee if necessary, and the final approval of the editorial board.

In the focus and scope of the journal by Sakarya University State Conservatory , research articles in the field of music are prioritized, but review articles, letters to the editor and current articles are published in Turkish and English.
📌Articles are scanned with the iThenticate plagiarism program and the percentage of similarity should be less than 20% excluding references.
