Since its inception, Journal of Music and Folklore Studies (JMFS) has been publishing all its articles under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. This license means that all content is available free of charge to users or their institutions. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search for, or link to the full text of articles or use them for any other lawful purpose without prior permission from the publisher or author. This complies with the Budapest Open Access Initiative's (
BOAI) definition of open access.
The LOCKSS system has permission to collect, store and present this open access Archive Unit.
“Open Access” is a term that includes both Gratis and Libre Open Access. While "Gratis" means open access and free online access, "Libre" means open access, also including some usage rights. In addition to publishing scientific researches, Journal of Music and Folklore Studies (JMFS), adopts the principle that providing information free of charge will increase its global sharing and the open access policy, and offers these researches free of charge and provides instant open access to its content.
The journal is open access and all content of the journal is provided free of charge to readers or the institution to which readers belong.
