Academic impartiality and scientific quality are important criteria in evaluating articles submitted for publication. Therefore, COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics)'s International Standards for Editors and Authors should be taken into account in scientific articles submitted to the JMFS journal.
General Information
• Sakarya University State Conservatory Journal (JMFS) is an international and peer-reviewed journal that publishes high quality articles in the field of music sciences.
• JMFS is a journal published twice a year, in June and December.
• One article per year is published by each author.
• The language of the articles can be Turkish or English.
• The similarity percentage in articles must be less than 20%, excluding references.
• Article submissions are not accepted via e-mail.
• Articles which do not comply with the journal's writing rules, or lack a bibliography or an abstract are not accepted to the referee process. The Editorial Board may make decisions for special cases.

• Articles to be published should be submitted via the "Send Article" page.
Note: If any Editor sends an article to the journal, the Editor will be prevented from accessing the editorial panel. The editor follows all processes as a writer. After the process is completed, Editor authority is given back to him or her.
MANDATORY files to be uploaded when submitting an article:
1- WORD document of the article prepared in compliance with the writing rules (There should be no information about the authors. This file will be sent to the referees in accordance with the double-blind peer review policy.)
2- Title page containing information about the authors and, if any, information such as congress and publication produced from the thesis.
3- Copyright Agreement and Author Acceptance Form
4-Uploading a plagiarism report to the system
Non-mandatory files that must be uploaded when submitting an article:
1- If necessary for the study, the approved version of the Ethics Committee Permission Certificate must be uploaded to the system. Additionally, this approval (board name, date and issue number) should be stated in the method section. Ethics committee permission is required for any research conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that requires data collection from participants using survey, interview, focus group study, observation, experiment and interview techniques.
