The KADEM Journal of Women’s Studies welcomes submissions from academics and researchers for its upcoming 2026 special issue on "Artificial Intelligence and Women." This issue seeks original articles that contribute to the scholarly discourse on the intersection of artificial intelligence and gender. This special issue aims to explore the impact of artificial intelligence on gender dynamics through an interdisciplinary approach. Topics of particular interest include how artificial intelligence reproduces gender biases, how digital technologies transform gender roles, and how these transformations affect women's social, economic, and political positions. This special issue aims to provide a comprehensive exploration of how artificial intelligence shapes gender relations, offering a broad, interdisciplinary perspective while making a meaningful contribution to the academic discourse in this field. Submissions that offer both critical perspectives and solution-oriented approaches are encouraged. Analyses that explore AI's potential to promote gender equality, as well as its risks of reproducing gender discrimination, are within the scope of this special issue. This call encourages interdisciplinary approaches and welcomes theoretical, methodological, and empirical studies not only from social sciences but also from technical disciplines. Contributions from fields such as digital sociology, ethics, political science, feminist theory, and technology studies are invited to comprehensively discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on gender dynamics.
