KADEM Journal of Women’s Studies is a thematic, open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes two issues per year, focusing on women’s studies and research. The journal is published both in print and online, and accepts manuscripts in both Turkish or English. It promotes innovative, interdisciplinary, transregional, and international approaches to women's studies. The journal encourages contributions from scholars and academics from all regions of the world and seeks their support in the peer-review process.
By questioning one-dimensional and stereotypical perspectives on women's issues, the journal aims to take the discussion beyond the limits of a narrow academic circle and present it to both the wider academic community and the general reader through an interdisciplinary and inclusive approach with the contributions of diverse perspectives. Within this framework, it seeks to evaluate the dominant discourse and analyses in women's studies in Türkiye in light of alternative approaches and conceptualizations developed internationally, as well as to generate new concepts and areas of debate.
The KADEM Journal of Women’s Studies publishes original works that contribute to the field of women’s studies. The journal accepts research articles, translations of significant texts in the field, book reviews, reviews, event reports, and interviews.
